This is 6 months on the lowest setting. I have two cats and a dog and I live in a major city. I leave it on low 24/7. It’s very quiet and the filter clearly does a great job.

This is my 2nd replacement filter for my Levoit LV-H134 air purifier. They do last as advertised 6 months and I feel they do a good job filtering the air. My issue is with my most recent replacement filter, not the air purifier itself. I noticed this replacement filter appears to have considerably less active carbon inside the filter than my previous filters. I’m unsure if this is due to qualtiy control issues or if the filter design has changed. It is a bit troubling though for an expensive filter. If indeed the quality of the filters has changed and now has less active carbon. Has anyone else noticed this?

These replacement filters do the job! The filter is easily replaced and anyone can handle the job. I find that the “name brand” use is appropriate in this case for the machine I use. They work way better than generic at cleaning the air quality of my home. Tackles cooking smokiness and odors quickly and completely. I have COPD and the system has helped cut down on flare ups. I highly recommend.

They are super expensive, there is no pre-filter to be vaccumed, only last 1 month for $80! These went up $20 in the last month, after I already bought the air filter itself. I bought several air filters and while the little square ones work well, the large Tower runs through filters in about a month and a half, making these very expensive. The indicated “pre-filter” is not a true pre-filter that you can clean, it is inside the cylinder. These get dirty in a city in about a month and a half if you have windows open or window air. I will use them over the Summer and then try to sell the machine or throw it away – and replace it. In three months, you could have bought another! Not to mention, it is constantly turning itself off – maybe that’s a convenience feature [Edited 8-9-19: Levoit contacted me and sent me a replacement unit and filter, asking me to send back the old unit. It’s NOT supposed to shut itself off.] If it’s not set to timer, it needs to stay on. Two filters in 3-4 months! Filters now cost $80 each; much higher than the previous cost. Too expensive.

Purchase two air replacement units to filter the dust and germs out of the air, for our son who will need it as he moves in from the hospital after receiving a stem cell transplant soon. This cleans the air to keep dirt and germs out of his lungs. And it has also helped as a deterrent for the allergies in my head! Now whole house will have “clean air”. The filter on the first unit was just replaced today, just before son comes home from hospital.
