I love these air purifiers for our bedrooms. It’s wildfire season aka Summer in the PNW. I purchased these last year and they really help along with our large honeywell air purifier hpa300 in our main living area. These run quiet on level 1 and sound like a fan on low speed on level 2. If the air quality is hazardous we run them on level 3. The filter lasts a long time which is a bonus. My only complaint is the charcoal pre-filters that came with the 2021 replacement filters are very see through compared to the denser charcoal filters that came with my 2020 order. I don’t think it will trap as much dust and smells.

I’ve had my little air purifier for a long time now and I ran just finally out of replacement filters (I ordered a bunch of extras when I first ordered it a few years ago). For a while people kept commenting on the purifier’s listing that you could no longer get the replacement filters but that isn’t the case. Obviously you know, as you’re reading this review on the filter’s page haha. This set comes with both the pre filter (which I usually rinse out like once a week because of cat hair) and the main hepa one. They fit perfectly and it means I don’t need to go buy a new/different purifier.

The air quality is noticeably better after replacing an old filter. I haven’t experienced the same quality decrease or noise increase that others have mentioned. I also feel that the thinner, more shear carbon filters may be on purpose. Mine still get just as gross as the thicker carbon filters, which tells me that they’re working and possibly that they’re allowing more particles to reach the HEPA filter rather than accumulating on the carbon filter sheet and becoming so clogged that the HEPA filter doesn’t do optimal work. Whatever the case, I’ve been using these replacement HEPA and carbon filters for a couple of months, and haven’t had any issues.

I bought this after carefully considering the following. Size, true HEPA, noise and ease of filter change and acquisition. This filter gets high scores on all. I paint on glass and the dust generated can be a health hazard. I tested this filter with smoke and even on the lowest setting it does a nice job of drawing from a foot or more away. I also needed it to have the intake and vent on opposite sides so the exiting air would not disturb my work area. On high, the noise is discernible, but not annoying. On low and medium it is quiet. This diminutive little package is just a must for dust.
