   First I’ll say that reading some of the other reviews here makes me wonder what humidifiers some people are reviewing because they are discussing features that aren’t part of this model. In any case, we bought two and are very happy with them. They are very quiet, easy to handle and fill, and seem as if they will be eay to clean. The reason I am rating them four stars instead of five is that the units really should have at least one LED indicating they are turned on. Having a second LED that shows whether or not moisture is being generated would be even better. I know I can find out the status by looking closely at the device, but lights would make it easier to see f4om a distance.

   Handy because top fill is easier if you use 1-1/2 gal. but to fill with unit in place. Puts out good moisture for 24 hrs. if set on high. Have had 3 months. No problems.

   I bought three of these under the Used – Like New program. They all arrived with all parts, looking as if they may have been opened, but not even taken out of their boxes. I’ve had two running nearly non-stop for three weeks, creating the tropical environment I need for several of my plants. In Tucson, humidifiers are a must for tropical plants, and getting above 50% can be a struggle. With two of these covering a 6′ x 6′ space, I’ve got a corner that averages 65% – 70% humidity. The way I’ve grouped my plants and situated the humidifiers, the neighboring succulents, and low-humidity tolerant plants are at the usual 40%. I go through a gallon of RO water every two days with this setup. I like the large capacity as I’m not constantly running to refill these humidifiers. When our humidity is a bit higher on a rainy day, for instance, I can run them on low and they’ll last at least three days if not longer on one gallon – that doesn’t even fill the reservoir. A full reservoir will last three days on a medium-high setting. The reservoir is easy to clean and so very simple that I wonder what all the fuss is about over different styles of humidifiers! I mean, I lift the top by the directional nozel (which may not be as directional as you’d like, and I’d kind of like one that didn’t condense the mist quite so much but hey, it’s working!), and add water directly from the top, replace the lid, and turn the thing back on. Easy as can be! A smaller unit would blend more seamlessly into my display, but I know I don’t have the time to be refilling on a daily basis. These are dark, and do blend fairly well tucked in with my plants. I also have small fans blowing to keep mold and mildew at bay (wish me luck!) Unless these suffer catastrophic failure, I can see no problem with their continued use. I do use small temp and humidity sensors scattered through my collection to keep tabs on actual levels. These units are basic and have a dial from low to high – you can’t set a humidity level and expect it to be maintained, as I’ve seen some models offer. But then I read all the reviews on those and people seem dissatisfied with the accuracy of those units. While I’d never pay full price for these, they are simple and, so far, reliable at adding the desired amount of humidity to my air. If that’s all you want; ease of use, easy cleaning, and moist air, I wouldn’t hesitate to grab one on sale or from the levoitoutlet.com Warehouse.

    As a disabled person, I appreciated the top-filling tank being easy to clean and hold, care of its built-in handle spaces & all the drainage holes in its corners. Well-designed. But I wish I’d done my usual protocol of reading the 1-star & 2-star reviews to see if there were common complaints, and the ones about it being no good for the bedrooms of sensitive sleepers are spot-on. If you can ignore noises like a screaming high-pitched alarm going off outside, or something like a loud vacuum cleaner being used nearby or on a different floor, you’ll love this thing.     I get a stuffy nose while sleeping. Probably due to the furnace on in the Winter and home humidity below 40. I have this in a 175 sqft bedroom and have it on while sleeping. So far, working well for a week and my nose is not as dry and stuffy. I use reverse osmosis water and no residue anywhere. The 60 hours running time would be if it was full of water and on the low setting. The medium setting would probably be about 45 hours and the highest about 30 hours. The low setting has the humidity, in the 175 sqft room, 4 to 5 points higher after a few hours of use. Easy to fill, first cleaning after a week, as recommended, was easy, very quiet and don’t even know it’s on. Time will tell how long it lasts.

    I moved to a small apartment this past winter. The heating was a heat pump that dried out the air tremendously. I bought this and within a week, noticed a difference with the air as well as my breathing to be able to sleep better at night.
