    These are really expensive, but work better than the original filter the unit came with. I have had it in the purifier for about four months and there is no smell like the original filter developed.

    I have parrots and cannot live without an air purifier. These filters for the Levoit are fantastic. The life is well over 6 months or even longer if no animals are contributing to the lack of air quality. The size of the machine for this filter is not much bigger than the filter and fits easily almost anywhere. Because of the life of the filter, the value for your money is not too bad. Easy to replace in the unit, and of course there is no noise. My African grey parrot is a dander machine and his down feathers are everywhere. The air purifier sucks them in and this filter does a great job of keeping the dander out of the air. Of course, this machine sits within 2 feet of the cage, just out of reach of his ever-exploring beak. I use the pet filter as opposed to the regular ones for my home, but they have a couple of different ones depending on your needs.

    I purchased this filter because my dog smells like Fritos no matter what I do and I literally loathe that my room smells so heavy of dog. It absolutely worked to help with the smell! My only downside is that these filters should be lasting at least 3 months. I found mine to only last 1 1/2 months before it stopped with the odor control. I found that it actually was sucking in the odor and pushing it out through the top, just spreading the dog smell even more than usual. The price is very expensive to have to replace monthly… so I’m not sure if the quality of the filter is low or if my house is just that full of dust and dander that it filled an entire 3month capacity filter in 1 1/2 months. It’s definitely possible that, that’s the case for me… Also beware of knock off look alike filters posing to be a levoit filter. Make sure you are checking the seller and photos and reviews. I prevent that by only going to the seller page β€œthe levoit store” or making sure the product says sold by levoit.

    I ordered β€œlike new” and received a filthy filter that had clearly been used – it looked about as bad as the one I was replacing! Gross. Edit: I ordered another β€œlike new” replacement after returning the dirty filter. This one arrived clean (fortunately) but looks like it’s been through a battle. I’m less than impressed.

    This filter makes a HUGE difference. The standard filter was not cutting it. This filter holds the dust. Arm and Hammer changed their litter formula and of coarse they don’t tell the consumer. I have used it long enough I knew Instantly it was 10x more dusty. This Unit with this filter captures that dust in the room so there it does not travel out of litter room.

    I vacuum the pre-filter every time I vacuum the room and have found these to be extremely effective in keeping the dog smell out of my home. That’s saying a lot; as during the work week I have my three and daughter’s three coming in and out all day and they aren’t small dogs! Put the filters on auto ship and change them out like clock work. After 9 1/2 inches of rain last week, my home doesn’t smell like a kennel. Win for me!
