   Bought this filter to replace the original filter in my LV-H135 air purifier which started to smell as I had it for almost a year and a half. It’s a direct OEM replacement. People complain it’s expensive but it really does help capture my 3 cats odors. In my pictures, the left filter is the new one.

   This air purifier definitely works! Old filter changed after 6 months compared to this replacement. Only drawback is the cost, @60 each looks like well over a hundred dollars a year to maintain this unit.

   When I bought the air purifier I had a bird and they are rather powdery. I could see it in the air when the sun shine came in his window. He is gone now but I think it helps with any allergies. I continue to use it and my furnace doesn’t need changing as much.

   This filter looks sturdy and good quality . Easy to install and the air quality has improved greatly since I am using it . No more allergies since I’m running this in my room . I don’t know how long will last but I guess that depends on how clean your house is . The more dust and debris flying around the less use you’ll get out of this .

   Bought two of these to replace the filters that came with my two Levoit LV-H135 that I bought six months ago during the height of the pandemic. As I mentioned in the headline, I think it of utmost importance to do whatever it takes, within affordable reason, to protect my health and the health of our loved ones. In November, during the height of the pandemic, I bought the two Levoit LV-H135 filtration machines because they had excellent reviews and because they were rated for more advanced HEPA H13 filtration. Most think of HEPA filters as a stand-alone and generic term that somehow guarantees you good protection for the air you breath. However, that is not the case. Unless you’re willing to spend thousands on medical-grade HEPA filters and filtration devices, then from what I could determine, H13 HEPA filtration was the near-best thing to get that I could reasonably afford. This certainly buys me peace of mind. So I bought two well-rated Levoit filtration machines with H13 HEPA filters. (One of them failed after a couple of weeks and levoitoutlet.com quickly replaced it and the new one is working great to this day, but that’s another story I will writeup in the review of the filter machines themselves….but I still very highly recommend them and would/will buy again). In the mean time, I think if you’re going to spend the money to buy a good filtration machine, then the logical thing to do is buy an original OEM filter even if it’s more expensive. You only have one body and your health is paramount. So while we got these because the pandemic prompted us to do so, they have become a permanent fixture in our household and I feel they’re helping make life easier for me due to chronic allergies and contaminants that are always floating around in the air. The first picture shows a brand new filter on the left, next to a filter from the upstairs machine, with the dirtiest one being on the far right indicating the type of gunk it got out of the air downstairs. The difference is most likely due to cooking odors, increase foot traffic and opening and closing of doors downstairs. The second and third pictures show more detailed look between a new filter and the cleaner, but nonetheless dirty/contaminated upstairs filter, and a similar comparison between a new filter and the downstairs, much dirtier one. So while you can buy a new non-OEM filter from another manufacturer for the Levoit LV-H135 machine and maybe save $10 to $30, I think you have to ask yourself the same question I asked myself in biting the bullet and buying the more expensive OEM Levoit replacement filters: “How much do you value your health and peace of mind?” I will continue to buy the OEM brand because our health is just too important to play it cheap.

    The product was not the Levoit air filter but a knock off. After filtering the unit 4 hours the red replace filter light is still on! I will return it’s a total waste of money!

    Quiet unless set on high setting. Excellent quality but pricey for lasting about 5 months. However, as a 2 cat, allergy/asthma sufferer, I’ve seen improvement in air quality since began using 1 upstairs and down so will recommend. Will shop around for the best $ in future though.
