Don’t get too eager like I did and immediately buy them as spares. They are literally a foam tube…….now, it is a nice foam tube. It seems the exact size . I can find no performance difference……and that’s good. But, it’s just a little foam tube folks…….and as far as I can tell, the “filter” may remove rocks from the tank, but the sand will probably go through. Think: super soft foam sponge that might slip over and cover half of an adult thumb. I’m gonna go really extravagant and guess this could be recreated pretty effectively out of literal foam scrap or poly fill and gauze.
Your mileage may vary, (and I now have a lifetime of replacements for myself!)……..but this is probably something most will simply clean, and reuse, for a very long time. Probably, you should…….if you really want a spare, find me and send me a stamp. I’ll likely lose mine before I ever replace them all!
“Value” is pretty subjective on this one.

I absolutely love this humidifier. The kit is worth the money. The humidifier connects via Bluetooth which is so nice as I bought this for my plants. You can connect multiple of these to the app. You can set your humidity, how long, misting, and much more. With using this for my plants, I can name them to which room they are in to know what humidity I need it in there. My albo monstera was slowing dying I didn’t know they needed humidity, as soon as I got this and turned it on within less than a day her leaves were almost uncurled. Buying another 1 today. Maybe not same size but will only be buying this brand from now on. It has a sleek design so it can sit in my living room and looks nice. Cleaning this is super easy and so is changing the filter. I do use tap water in mine but that’s because I have to fill it up almost everyday but I do let my water sit for 24 hours. Worth the money. Made with high quality, and very durable.
