   We live in Wyoming at 5400 ft, and the air is dry most of the year. We find that by running a humidifier in our bedroom, our noses are much happier. There is a clear difference between the humidifier running and not running. We set our Levolt 200 on the app to run from 7 in the evening until 6 in the morning, which works fine. We particularly like the humidistat, which controls the level we set for the humidity. Since the water tank is a light blue and I can see through it, I can easily keep track of the water level. Plus, with the automatic control to turn off if the water is depleted, no worries about the unit running empty. Strong recommendation for this unit.

   These are great!!! This does an excellent job of bringing the humidity up and maintaining it. The settings are in a touch screen and so easy to read and use. I’m short and in my late 70’s with arthritis in both my hands so I needed a product that was lightweight and easy to use. It’s the perfect size for a bedroom. To fill with water you just lift off the plastic top and pour the water in. To empty and clean, you just lift the water tank off the base and tip it into the sink. The round cap on the top pulls off for easy cleaning, and both the water tank and the base are easy to clean. I do recommend that, unless you are using distilled water, you clean the tank and base weekly or there will be a build up of scum or whatever it is that gets harder to clean over time.

   I couldn’t breathe at night so I wanted to try a humidifier to see if it would help rather than a nasal decongestant spray and to my surprise I haven’t slept this good in years! I wasn’t sure about the quality of water I should add so I started with filtered but one night I did tap and it made me want to sneeze, so I’ve just dedicated a water filter to my humidifier now. It always seems to last me the whole night on one refill, although I have ran it longer by just adding some while it was running and did not have any issues it just keeps pushing out clouds until it runs out of water then quietly shuts off 🥲 it also has a slow blinking red light near the knob when it’s empty and still turned on to remind you to turn it off which is very handy! 10/10 the best humidifier I’ve ever owned but it’s also the only one I’ve ever owned 😏 top fill humidifiers just make sense 👏

   I got this humidifier because I cannot sleep if there is any visible light in my room, and this is one of the only ones I could find with no lights. It works fine humidifying my bedroom, even here in very dry Colorado. However, as other reviewers have noted, this humidifier quickly develops a pink mold problem. You must completely disassemble the tank part of the unit to clean it, which is not easy to figure out. There is a center piece that is clipped in, if you do not unclip and clean it a “mother” of pink mold grows, and then you can never defeat the mold problem. On the other hand, it’s fairly easy to figure out how to remove the filter piece. However, there’s another cylindrical part whose function I don’t understand, and we could only get it unclipped using vice grips. Also, be very careful re-assembling the unit. If you do not get it seated properly on the little blue seal (which you will see once you take the tank completely apart) the unit will leak badly when water is added. Also you must use filtered or distilled water unless you’re okay with the filter turning brown.

    What we like: This works well in our bedroom. We have noticed we aren’t waking in the morning with nosebleeds and the room is overall less dry for our plants too. It’s small and fits on our plant stand. Because it’s small, I don’t think it would as effective in a larger space. As we read with many reviews, it does need to be cleaned frequently because there is quickly a layer of buildup. We’ve been wiping the base and bucket with a water vinegar solution every few days. We have been using filtered water vs distilled water when running the humidifier, which may or may not add to some of the buildup. Also, there’s a small filter that we’ve also been removing to clean that’s already turned a yellowish color. We set the dial to medium and it will run for at least 8 hours when filled to the max line. So basically all night long and then some. Usually we turn it off when we leave the house. We haven’t noticed any leaks and it seems sturdy enough plastic. We put a small towel under it as a precautionary measure but really don’t seem to need it at this point. Cons: There’s not an auto shutoff. Once it’s empty it will remain on and have a red light indicating it’s empty (See photo). This is why we turn it off when we leave our house. Not sure if that will play a role in longevity of the machine or not since we’ve only been using it for a month. So, as a precaution, we turn it off. It would be nice if it would shutoff instead of remaining on. Another con for us is that the water doesn’t fully empty out of the base when the bucket is empty. So if you don’t pour the bottom water out of the base, it will just sit there stagnant until you empty it fully (See photo). It was semi-reasonably priced because we got it on an levoitoutlet.com deal. However, we would not have paid more because really this could have better functions.

    I took a chance on this. I like the Levoit brand, I have an air purifier by them. It works great. But, there were mixed reviews on many of their humidifiers. This one, in particular, I liked the best because of the size and price but it had zero reviews. On their website, it says “new” so I guess that’s why. But, I am really glad I bought this. It is so quiet, it doesn’t make bubbling or gurgling noises like my Vicks humidifier did. It’s a top fill which makes it really easy to pour the water in. It’s a perfect size too! I keep it on my nightstand. I do have a little washcloth under it just in case it does leak because my old humidifier did all the time, but it has not yet so it’s just a precaution. Despite it being smaller than my old humidifier, when filled to the max fill line it lasts pretty long before needing a refill, which is nice. It doesn’t take very long to clean and comes with a brush to get in the nook and crannies (or you can just use a paper towel). It’s amazing. I also love how simple it is. There was a similar one that connected to an app, but sometimes that stuff doesn’t work right. This has a simple on-off dial and you adjust to how much mist you want coming out. Very easy. Now, something I have realized from scrolling through hundreds of reviews for other Levoit humidifiers and non-Levoit ones, most people don’t know how to use humidifiers properly. First off, you need to read the instruction manual. There you will learn you need to use purified or distilled water. If you don’t want to go and buy either of those from the store constantly, then don’t use a humidifier. I buy distilled water in the jugs from the water aisle. This is especially important if you live somewhere with hard water. I live in Arizona and we have very hard water (and our house has no soft water filter), I used to use tap water in my old warm mist humidifier and there would be so much mineral build-up. I know better now. Apparently, if you use tap water in a cool-mist humidifier, it may cause white dust around the unit. But, since I use distilled I have not had this issue. You will also learn from the manual how and how often to clean it. You should clean it when it’s brand new, you should change the water daily, and you should clean it every 3 days. There are also instructions to do a deep clean if necessary. I use vinegar to clean it as per the instructions every 2-3 days. Also, I make sure to clean every little corner and clean the inside of the top spout. I have seen SO many reviews where people complain of mold (in other models) and this is almost always because they aren’t cleaning their humidifier enough or cleaning it properly. I saw a one-star review and the entire base and inside were filled with dark green mold, they said they hadn’t cleaned it in 3 weeks! That’s crazy! Please don’t do that! As long as you take care of your humidifier, use it right, and clean it right you will have no mold problem. I have had it for 2 weeks now. I live in Arizona so it’s about 5% humidity here. My skin is so dry and after coming back from a Caribbean vacation (where it is very humid), I knew I needed more moisture in the air and this humidifier has done the trick. My skin is doing so much better now. I also have pretty bad allergies and my nose feels much less dry all the time, too which is nice. I highly recommend it!!!

    LOVE this humidifier! **will update review on performance after a few months of use** It has all the bells and whistles. The app makes all the difference. Favorite Features: **auto mode** 🎤 on auto mode, your desired humidity percentage/level can be adjusted at any time, as many times as you want for all of us who can’t decide what level is actually best. 💁🏻‍♀️ And for when we think we need a little extra wet air for really dry or sick days. -On auto mode the unit will stop emitting mist shortly after the target humidity level is reached and will start up again when the level drops to 5% below target humidity – the machine stays on, monitoring the humidity level of the room even when it is not misting. This keeps the room from becoming over saturated. -Through the app I can set a schedule. I have the humidifier turn itself on at 8pm to get the room to the appropriate level of humidity shortly before I put my baby to bed. And it is set to turn off at the time I wake him up. It can be manually turned on/off on the unit itself, through the app, and set on auto, low, or high at any time. Other Pros: Cleaning is very easy. The lid comes off and the whole tank is able to be wiped easily. The basin is also easy to wipe clean. The small filter inside the tank very easily twists and comes out for cleaning if needed. There are not a lot of little nooks and crannies to worry about. The app has a “plant care” section that allows you to list what plants you have in any room in the house. You can set reminders for watering and fertilizing. Each plant listed has full details about that type of plant (all the basics like how often to water, how much sun it needs, etc. but it goes further, telling you when you should repot, how often to fertilize, when is the best time to propagate, the best time to plant, if it is toxic to pets, etc.) plant lovers, this is the humidifier for you, especially if you are using this mainly to keep your room just right for your little green babies. 🪴 I have nothing bad to say about this humidifier… Levoit is a great brand. We love that we can pair this humidifier and our air purifier together on the same app. Worth the money!

    This humidifier is great! We bought 2 of these this past winter when our winter colds & early spring allergies were at their worst. They each work well in the bedroom and in our kitchen & living room. Even helped our dog who had a very dry nose & was really sneezy to feel better quickly. I bought them to replace other brand cool mist humidifiers that didn’t last more than a year or 2 and were so difficult to keep clean. The design is such that you can easily clean & dry them in between uses. It’s nice that this model is “smart” and we can make adjustments from the app but that was not the reason for purchase. We wanted easy to clean & the ability to easily change out the filter. Happy so far. We have not yet tried using any essential oil in ours but will try that soon.
