  • The 300S really is an excellent humidifier and a great value; my only disappointment is it isn't quite as easy to clean as advertised, as there are parts of the humidifier than remain inaccessible (and have pink mold on them) that drive me a little nuts. This thing really packs a punch for humidification - on a high setting, it can really humidify a space significantly. It's even set off my daughter's smoke alarm because of how misty it made the room, ha. It also holds more water than it looks - I live in a very dry climate and on a relatively high setting (target 54% RH in our roughly 15-20% RH home) we get two full nights out of it. The only disappointment has been the cleaning - I read many reviews before purchasing saying how easy it is to clean, how accessible everything is, etc. etc. and all I can say is there must be some really hard to clean humidifiers out there if this is one of the easiest. I've included a photo of its condition after more than 2 years of use, and you can see there is some mineral buildup at the black seal in the base and around the bottom of the mist tube, but, I also don't bother with distilled water and supplement with little 'cleaning fish' (https://a.co/d/6TQEFNb) to help with mineral buildup. So after two years, it's not terrible and mostly on me for not wanting to buy distilled water ;) My real beef is with the mist tube - there's an impossibly narrow and distant part near the base and I have yet to find a cleaning brush narrow and long enough to clean the pink mold out that forms between the tube and its little insert. I've honestly considered buying a waterpik just to 'powerwash' the thing; my kitchen faucet sprayer on max isn't strong enough to blast it off. There aren't many parts to take apart when cleaning but I actually wish it broke down into more so I could access that thing. The other trouble with cleaning is - at least per the instructions - you do a 15-minute soak with 3 cups or vinegar, and then a second 15-minute soak for two small pieces that you just soaked already. So if you're following the instructions, you're married to a 30 minute+ cleaning session. I generally do the first soak, then dump the same vinegar back into the measuring cup with the two small pieces in it, and start cleaning the tank and base while those sit there. I rarely have the patience to wait out the next 15 minutes, but it's still about a 25+ minute job in the end. I use a baby brush and the longest, narrowest wire brush I can find in addition to the small 'looped' brush to clean all the nooks and crannies. Keeping gallons of vinegar stocked for this is a bit of a bummer too. Now all that said - per above this thing REALLY works, which is huge. It's also got just about any feature a person would want out of a humidifier - it has Bluetooth capability with an app but you can also work the intuitive controls without one. You can add essential oils in a little absorbent pad that lives in a small 'drawer' if that's your thing. It's got an optional timer, an optional nightlight, low/medium/high and auto mode and you can set the desired %RH with an app. I believe the hygrometer is on the bottom, so if you've just cleaned it and it gets wet it may be a little out of whack that night. And it's surprisingly quiet. Even if this cost a lot more it would still be an excellent value - my cleaning neuroses aside, it's an excellent appliance and has lasted us three years and still works great, despite my not using any distilled water. Just be prepared for the cleaning. ;)

  • I got this about a month ago and the first few nights I thought this was a great buy. Price is right for the size of the tank, has tons of great reviews and I loved the option turning the light off completely! I like my room to be as pitch black as much as possible, so this was awesome! I followed instructions on how to set up and use. I made sure to use distilled water made for small appliances. I discarded any left over water in the morning, do a cleaning and refilled for nighttime use. With this unit I did notice that there was some brown areas that was starting to develop and was becoming more difficult to clean after a few weeks. (In my old Pure I used tap water and the water purifier ball and never noticed this brown pattern. See photos for reference) Then today as I’m cleaning I noticed that my cord was a dark brown at the plug to about 4” down the cord and the rest of the cord looked white. I never noticed any weird smell coming from this unit. But it looks like that it was heating up on the inside out? Ok that’s scary enough for me. I can’t think of any reason why my cord is turning brown. That area that’s brown on the inside is right above when I connect the plug to the base of the the humidifier. Coincidence? Maybe not, but I’m not willing to take that chance in my nursery. I’ve never seen this in any of the reviews, so I could’ve just gotten a dud. While the price and size of the tank and the ability to have it completely dark are all gold stars in my book, the cord changing to brown is enough for me to return it. Hope this helps someone who reads it and maybe reminds you check your unit often as you use it.

  • First picture is the original Levoit filter I received with my purifier. 2nd picture is the one from this shop. The carbon filter is completely see through like the off brand cheaper ones. Returning. Not sure why these are priced so hight the one from the Levoit website and chewy are actually cheaper.

  • This thing is amazing , started burning wood in my house along with a pellet stove so humidity was through the floor and me and my dog were very itchy as a result so I knew I needed something that was capable of really pumping humidity into the air anything does a great job keeping the house at desired moisture. Biggest one I’ve seen on levoitoutlet.com

  • Great humidifier. Large size so you can let it do its job without having to change the water often. Makes my home feel better. No more dry stale air

  • 5 out of 5
I try to keep the humidifier clean, but there are so many crevices. It works well though.

  • The hinge part of this product unlocks extremely easily while you’re vacuuming even when you don’t want it to. The hinge itself is not sturdy and broke after about 5 months of less than average use. I don’t have a lot of carpet in my house so it wasn’t used all the time. Pretty disappointed with this product and I would skip this if I was to go for another one. Definitely not worth the money.

  • Ive only had the fan for an hour but it is perfect! It is so quiet and works great!

  • I’m obsessed with this vacuum! You can’t tell from this photo but I keep my house extremely clean. We have 2 dogs and three kids and I have OCD. This cleans so well. I have a 2500sqft house that is tile and hardwood floor. I can do the whole house, carpets and sofa on one charge. Even when I think my floors are clean this baby will still fill a canister. I love the light because I can see just how well it cleans. I love my corded Miele vacuum but I don’t want to pull that out daily. This Levoit does such a fantastic job I haven’t used the Miele in a month. Don’t wait. Buy this now.

  • Helps in keeping my room fresh for a few days, I use it everyday. The bad part is that We have to keep changing it

  • *UPDATE: I am lowering the stars from 5 to 4 Here are the two primary reasons why: 1. I need a handle or something to grab on the lower reservoir Sometimes, I want to fill the tank fast, so I use my bathtub to do so. However, it is really, really hard for me to lift the full water tank from the bathtub and put it on the floor, as the plastic material of the tank has nothing for me to grab onto. I know we have an easier way of filling the tank using the tube, but I have overfilled and flooded my bedroom twice as I was not paying attention. It is painful to clean the water in your carpet, so please ALWAYS pay attention when filling using the tube provided. Flooding my bedroom is my mistake; I do not blame the humidifier. 2. Water Dripping Sound at Night: I have roommates, so putting the humidifier in my bedroom is my only option. The fan is quiet at night and won’t disturb you from sleeping, which is good. However, even when I put the humidifier in night mode, I can hear water dripping from the top compartment to the lower water tank, which sounds loud at night. I can’t sleep with the sound of water dripping, especially when the water level is low; the sound is obvious to me. It should be fine if you put the humidifier in another room. I investigated and found huge water beads on the plastic panel attached to the upper compartment, which drips down to the tank. If you mind a water dripping sound or can’t go to sleep with any noise, don't put it in your bedroom or consider alternative options. However, the humidifier still performs well and is efficient. Functionally, it is worth a FIVE star, but with the two issues I mentioned, I think it still requires some improvements. *Initial Review Living in the dry Midwest, I replaced my old Levoit ultrasonic humidifier after discovering mold and learning about potential lung hazards from water particles. This led me to explore safer options. I was only considering Levoit or a German brand, as other brands are ugly-looking, in my opinion. I settled on the Levoit Superior 6000S, their first evaporative humidifier. Not only was it more affordable than its German counterpart (priced at $249 versus $500+), but my positive experience with Levoit's air purifier also influenced my decision. *First Impressions: Stylish Exterior, Underwhelming Interior The humidifier boasts a sleek, modern design that fits well in any room. However, the internal components, particularly the fan, feel cheap. They remind me of something you'd find at a budget store. *Setup and Operation: Simple Yet Effective The setup is straightforward. The system pumps water from a reservoir to the top, trickling down through filters. As air passes through these moist filters, it picks up moisture and is expelled, humidifying the room. The process is essentially middle school physics, but it's impressively efficient. *Performance: Exceeds Expectations I heard that evaporative humidifiers require longer to improve humidity than ultrasonic ones. I tested it in my 500 sqft apartment (though it's rated for 3000 sqft) and was amazed. The humidifier increased humidity from 27% to 50% in under two hours, even with a window open. At its lowest setting, it's pretty enough. Even if I put it 5 feet from my bed, I can still go to sleep, and it maintains the humidity at 50% at its lowest fan speed easily. (Note: with my bedroom door closed. My bedroom is probably around 300 sqft.) *Areas for Improvement *Water Refilling: The included plastic tube works well with tall faucets but struggles with standard bathroom sinks, leading to bending and restricted water flow. *Maintenance and Cleaning: The long, curved water tube connecting the reservoir and the top part could pose cleaning challenges similar to those encountered with a fish tank. However, the unit's design minimizes hard-to-clean corners and edges, making it generally easier to maintain than traditional humidifiers. I plan to use a bleach-infused cleaner for effective cleaning and disinfection. *Final Thoughts on the Levoit Superior S6000 After giving this humidifier a whirl for a day, I'm happy with it. It does what it's supposed to do without any fuss, and it gets my thumbs up. But I won't lie – the build and the primary mechanism make me question the price tag. Is it worth what I paid? I'm on the fence about that. Stay tuned, in any case. If anything significant pops up, good or bad, in how this thing works or what it's like keeping it clean, I'll be sure to drop an update. For now, if you're in the market for a no-nonsense humidifier, the Levoit S6000 is a decent pick.

  • 1. Super quiet - REALLY! (Compared to two other brands/models I purchased, this one beat them both by far in terms of overall noise level--I can hardly hear it while it's on/running!) 2. Works as advertised; Smart features via the app are easy to set up and use, including daily, weekly, or just weekends on/off scheduling (you pick the day[s] and time frames[s]). The one-time timer feature is also a nice touch (e.g., auto on or off in minutes or up to 24 hours). Can also turn off the digital display while it's on/running. Also love the graph report on the app as to how much humidity is currently in the room and how the unit regulates the humidity based on the setting you've chosen. 3. Very easy to fill and clean; best to use distilled (or very well filtered) water. However, I have not used the aromatherapy feature (putting drops directly into the bottom tank worries me about how easy that would be to clean after use). 4. The Auto setting is a nice touch since it doesn't always stay on constantly (unless, of course, it needs to) and therefore saves water. So far I'm pleasantly surprised by how long the less than 1 gallon tank lasts when filled to the Max level. Low and High settings are also available if you want/need constant humidity. 5. Third-party voice control (Alexa or Hey Google) is a nice touch too. 6. Sturdy and nicely well-built.

  • I ended up getting this one because of the one day shipping and ease of buying replacement filters. Really made my room smell a lot cleaner. It's not that big and won't take up much space, about the same size as a table lamp. The app let's me control it via Alexa too. Super quiet, my allergies no longer acted up. Highly recommend.

  • This 400 S Levoid air purifier refill really cleans my ear. Well, my air quality and my filter quality help me to breathe better. My ear is clean despite my gross neighbors who smoke and do drugs, and all that smell comes in through the walls in the ceilings the north level is minimal a very good quality air purifier.
