I love it.

The levoit air purifier is seriously amazing. We have been using the same filter for about 6 months now and it still has 49% life left. Love that it tells me when to change the filter and when my air quality is bad. I had a bad cough that never seemed to leave, and because of the levoits ability to test air quality, it would turn red nearly every time I cooked (im a chef so I cook a lot and I cook things at high heats). But since having this I've been more mindful of my cooking at high heat and turing the purifier up to high speed in order to help filter the air. I noticed a massive improvement in my cough, in fact it's gone completely! I also love the lock button so my toddler can't mess with it. He was able to fit a small wood toy down the vents, but I was able to retrieve it easily, and it didn't break anything. The filter is also super easy to change

Disappointed because one of the filters came damage.

As a disabled person, I appreciated the top-filling tank being easy to clean and hold, care of its built-in handle spaces & all the drainage holes in its corners. Well-designed. But I wish I'd done my usual protocol of reading the 1-star & 2-star reviews to see if there were common complaints, and the ones about it being no good for the bedrooms of sensitive sleepers are spot-on. If you can ignore noises like a screaming high-pitched alarm going off outside, or something like a loud vacuum cleaner being used nearby or on a different floor, you'll love this thing. This would be EXCELLENT in a room with lots of background noises... but not for someone needing quiet to turn off their mind to sleep. Update 9/26/24: After my old humidifier started leaking and died, I bought the LEVOIT OasisMist 1000S. This one has the entire tank at the bottom (which is huge, holds 10liters of water) and the top part that has the screen/humidifier parts that you can remove from the bottom/tank. The tank is just one piece of plastic instead of multiple pieces like my old one so I highly doubt it will end up leaking (knock on wood!). I think I would recommend this one, just because I know the tank is a lot more sturdy than the other one, the tank holds a lot more water (I refill every other day), and it does all the same things the other one did (control with your phone, that kind of stuff). I’ll update if something happens to this one lol Update 3/21/24: Pretty bummed because I really liked this humidifier (I purchased the 300s) but the tank started leaking a few days ago. Bought it and been using it since last November pretty much 24/7 except when I would leave to go out (if I would remember to turn it off lol). The other day I noticed the humidifier was showing the reading of 85% humidity which I knew was way off since I live in Colorado and even when I have the humidifier turned on it rarely gets up to 40% in my room. I noticed there was water all around the tank and on my carpet and I read that off readings on the humidifier was due to the sensor getting wet so I emptied the tank, cleaned the entire thing out plus the base and let it dry for a Cpl hours then filled it back up and ran it again. The % this time wasn’t as high but still off and the next hour or so it kept going down until it got to 40% but then I noticed it going back up. Went to check on it and water was all over the tank again so I knew there definitely was a leak. Put the (almost) full tank in my sink and the next morning there was only 1/4 water left in it. I’m thinking the water is leaking out from where the clear plastic on the sides meets the white plastic on the bottom of the tank. So I’m going to have to change my review from 5 stars to 2 because I only got a couple months out of it before it died. Still going to give it a 2 though because I really did like this humidifier. Being able to control and adjust the settings easily with my phone and it was super easy to clean. Just wish it the tank didn’t start leaking! Also btw in my previous review I said I didn’t notice any sediment/gunk forming in the bottom. I eventually did but it was easy to clean off in the sink with some warm water and a non-abrasive scrub brush. I definitely think changing the filters regularly helped keep that stuff from forming. I’m not so sure about the humidifier drops but I’ll still use them in my next humidifier I just purchased. ———— Love this humidifier. I live in CO where it is super dry especially during winter. I used a couple different ones but they always ended up with gunk/sediment in the bottom so I had to get rid of them. I know it’s better to use distilled water but I’m not paying for distilled water when I have to refill my humidifier every night. I didn’t use one last year and this year my nose and throat were so dry, I was getting nose bleeds and my throat hurt so bad I thought I was actually sick but decided to try a humidifier first to see if it would help. I liked this one because I could control it with my phone and it showed the humidity levels. After plugging it in it showed my rooms humidity level was 30% and having it on for 30 min my nose and throat felt so much better. I like how you can just pick up the tank from the bottom part, carry it to the sink then remove the lid and fill it up, really simple and easy. I also like that it has a filter (and options to buy more) because after a few refills I can see the filter start to change color so I feel like that’s helping keep gunk out from the bottom. I haven’t noticed any gunk/sediment and I’ve been using it continuously now for about two months but I also put “humidifier drops” in the water that I purchased on levoitoutlet.com that supposedly helps stop buildup. Not sure if that is what’s helping. I also like the app. You can turn the humidifier on or off using the app, set a timer, put it on auto (which will turn off the humidifier at a certain humidity level) or set it on manual (where you choose how much moisture comes out). It also shows what the humidity level has been over time in the room you put the humidifier in and the humidifier itself shows on a little screen in front what the current humidity level is. There’s also a light inside the humidifier they call a “night light” you can turn on or off. All in all it’s a pretty neat humidifier. I guess it depends on how dry it is where you live because mine is set to shut off at 45% humidity and it rarely gets to that level so it’s basically on all the time except when I turn it off when I go out. So I usually have to refill it every night which is kind of a bummer but at least my nose/throat/skin isn’t so crazy dry anymore. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a humidifier that they can control with their phone and is pretty easy to refill and use. App set up and pairing was super easy as well.

The new filter has a noticeably less charcoal than the filters from pre-pandemic. I had one filter left from 2020. The first photo is the light shining through the filter (new filter 2022), the second photo is of the original filters held at same angle with no light shining through. I will try another brand filter in the future as prices rise and quality falls for Levoit.

It still leaves the white dust on everything.

Have the non-wifi model. Got it in October 2019 and it still works perfectly. We have 3 indoor pets, and what I think is an above average amount of household dust. I mostly blame the two cat litter boxes - despite using supposedly 99% dust-free litter. Anyway, we run it on the Low speed 24/7 in the master bedroom (approx 200 sq ft). It definitely helps with my allergies, especially when I'm sleeping. (we also have a larger Levoit in the main living area) I love the "change filter" indicator. The filters have consistently lasted 3.5 to 4 months, and the amount of brownish-gray dust that coats the filter by the time the indicator light comes on is mind-blowing! Looks exactly like the photos of dirty filters others have posted. And whenever either of us happens to have a cold or flu we run it on Medium while sleeping, and High (too noisy for us to sleep) during the day since it can also supposedly filter out viruses. (a bit skeptical of that claim, but figure it can't hurt) FILTERS: I recently read you can vacuum the outside of the filter to remove that layer of dust/dirt to help extend the life of the filter. I did that for the first time a few days ago with my handheld vac, so we'll see how it goes. I'm down for any hacks to cut expenses, even in small ways. As for replacements, for the first couple of years I used genuine Levoit filters. Then I switched to an off-brand, "Flintar". I get them here on levoitoutlet.com. They're all I use now. They come in a 2-pack and the price is a great deal compared to one Levoit filter. I can't tell any difference in quality or performance. Last thing - when I replace the filter I write the date on a little sticky note and stick it on the plastic bottom of the new filter. Even though I wait for the change filter light to come on, for my own curiosity I like to see exactly how long it's been since the last filter change.

Have had two of these this winter. The first got returned pretty quickly because it's hygrometer was inaccurate. The replacement worked well for a couple of months, but has slowly gotten the exact same issue. I am trying to use it in a medium sized office with guitars, so I am trying to keep my humidity at about 50% throughout the winter. The problem with both units is that it starts giving way higher readouts, so I will wake up in the morning and see it hasn't run all night because it thinks the RH is like 70+% when it is actually 38-40%. The odd thing is that if I manually turn it on, it very quickly gets back to an accurate reading. It's like something makes it more and more inaccurate as it sits there idle. So, while your humidity gets lower and lower, the reader keeps reading higher. Overall, if you are looking for a reliable device that you can just set at a certain % and forget, this isn't it. If you want something with a remote that you can manually handle, it does work great at pumping out the moisture.

They are super expensive, there is no pre-filter to be vaccumed, only last 1 month for $80! These went up $20 in the last month, after I already bought the air filter itself. I bought several air filters and while the little square ones work well, the large Tower runs through filters in about a month and a half, making these very expensive. The indicated "pre-filter" is not a true pre-filter that you can clean, it is inside the cylinder. These get dirty in a city in about a month and a half if you have windows open or window air. I will use them over the Summer and then try to sell the machine or throw it away - and replace it. In three months, you could have bought another! Not to mention, it is constantly turning itself off - maybe that's a convenience feature [Edited 8-9-19: Levoit contacted me and sent me a replacement unit and filter, asking me to send back the old unit. It's NOT supposed to shut itself off.] If it's not set to timer, it needs to stay on. Two filters in 3-4 months! Filters now cost $80 each; much higher than the previous cost. Too expensive.

After waking up often and blowing my nose, I thought I would give this air purifier a try. So many people rated it so highly, and now I have joined the masses! I have two dogs that sleep in my bedroom. Between running the furnace in the winter and having two golden retrievers, I was desperate to find something that would help. This fit the bill. I typically keep it on the medium setting but once or twice a week, I will turn it on high. I have actually come to enjoy the white noise it provides at night and find it very soothing to sleep to. I love the fact that you can vacuum off the outside vent holes and the inside fine mesh covering over the core filter. I was so pleased with this purifier. I bought two more for my first floor.

Love the fact I can control it via Alexa, google homes, and or my phone via an app. You can monitor if it needs more water, is it on or off, and humidity levels. You can set humidity levels and schedule it to turn off/on daily and or weekly. My two run daily around my many plants.

I've bought knock off filters and they never seem to fit. With this one being from the manufacturer yeah it's a little more money but I know it's cleaning all of the air and not allowing any to pass by.

LOVE this humidifier! **will update review on performance after a few months of use** It has all the bells and whistles. The app makes all the difference. Favorite Features: **auto mode** 🎤 on auto mode, your desired humidity percentage/level can be adjusted at any time, as many times as you want for all of us who can’t decide what level is actually best. 💁🏻♀️ And for when we think we need a little extra wet air for really dry or sick days. -On auto mode the unit will stop emitting mist shortly after the target humidity level is reached and will start up again when the level drops to 5% below target humidity - the machine stays on, monitoring the humidity level of the room even when it is not misting. This keeps the room from becoming over saturated. -Through the app I can set a schedule. I have the humidifier turn itself on at 8pm to get the room to the appropriate level of humidity shortly before I put my baby to bed. And it is set to turn off at the time I wake him up. It can be manually turned on/off on the unit itself, through the app, and set on auto, low, or high at any time. Other Pros: Cleaning is very easy. The lid comes off and the whole tank is able to be wiped easily. The basin is also easy to wipe clean. The small filter inside the tank very easily twists and comes out for cleaning if needed. There are not a lot of little nooks and crannies to worry about. The app has a “plant care” section that allows you to list what plants you have in any room in the house. You can set reminders for watering and fertilizing. Each plant listed has full details about that type of plant (all the basics like how often to water, how much sun it needs, etc. but it goes further, telling you when you should repot, how often to fertilize, when is the best time to propagate, the best time to plant, if it is toxic to pets, etc.) plant lovers, this is the humidifier for you, especially if you are using this mainly to keep your room just right for your little green babies. 🪴 I have nothing bad to say about this humidifier… Levoit is a great brand. We love that we can pair this humidifier and our air purifier together on the same app. Worth the money!

This replacement filter is great. It fits perfectly and does an amazing job at keeping the air fresh by trapping dust, pet dander( I have two dogs) and odors. I noticed a big difference in air quality within a days less dust settling and no lingering smells. This one is just like the original it came with! Would purchase again.
