This is my 2nd replacement filter for my Levoit LV-H134 air purifier. They do last as advertised 6 months and I feel they do a good job filtering the air. My issue is with my most recent replacement filter, not the air purifier itself. I noticed this replacement filter appears to have considerably less active carbon inside the filter than my previous filters. I'm unsure if this is due to qualtiy control issues or if the filter design has changed. It is a bit troubling though for an expensive filter. If indeed the quality of the filters has changed and now has less active carbon. Has anyone else noticed this?

Change your filters. I think the oem filter works best. I just dont buy them as often because they are really expensive. Heres a picture of a new filter next to an old filter which saved our lungs when the entire US had a forest fire.

I ordered by the model number of my Levoit LV600HH humidifier. As you can see from the picture, these absorption pads are smaller. They float to the top of the mist tube. Not good. Pretty much unusable. Waste of money. I'm throwing these in the trash.

This thing is so blinged out with features, it even comes with its own remote.....something my husband scoffed at as completely unnecessary (more on that later). Aside from smooth good looks, because, hey, who hasn't said at least once "All I want is a really good looking humidifier in my life," this thing really suits its purpose and humidifies my daughter's 146 square foot room with ease. I bought this for the fall and winter season to use in my daughter's room due to asthma and respiratory issues she seems susceptible to this time of year. We'd already burned out two Vick's brand humidifiers, and so I decided to splurge a bit and give this one a spin, hoping for more options and durability. Here's what I really like: -Hot or cold mist options -Compartment for essential oils or in our case, the placebo effect of Vick's VapoRub being diffused through the room -100% super quiet -Generous size - I only use distilled water in the machine (we have really hard water where I live), and although I refill the tank every four or five days after running all night, I expected it to be less efficient with water based on size -Humidifies the room like a champ - on some mornings, it's done such a job, that my daughter's comforter feels a bit damp - I obviously found out the hard way you can adjust the % of humidity settings... -Adjustable light - for smaller kids, I noticed that leaving the soft blue light on the humidifier acts as a night light, but it can also be turned off if you prefer a darkened room -Remote control- so I don't use the remote, but this would have been amazing to have when my kids were infants so I could simply press a button without having to enter their room, trip over stuff (cats, my feet, rocking chair, etc) waking them up, and dealing with the misery of trying to get two infants back to sleep again. I like the remote just for the idea of what it could have been in my life ("sigh"). What I don't love as much: -The price ($94.00 for a humidifier seems almost as ridiculous as me spending that amount on it) -Too many features. All of the bells and whistles, timed settings, auto delays, etc, etc, etc are lost on me. I just need it to humidify the room so my kid stops coughing. For those serious about their humidity, this thing is worth considering. Five stars, but for the price.

This was definitely one of the best purchases I’ve made for our apartment. It’s been keeping the air clean and filtering out all of the dust. We do have a dog so having this has been even more of a plus as far as breathing with all of the pet hair flying around that the eye can’t see. Looking forward to getting another one soon. I would highly recommend one of these. Great technology to invest in!

Due to local wildfires, air quality have been very poor. Outside air was hazy from the thick smoke. Small ash particles were swept from the wind and dropped over my house. So I tried ordering a high CADR air purifier with automatic fan control for my 500 sq ft family room. The Levoit LV-H133 model was comparable to several mid range models and in stock. I'm very happy I ended up with a Levoit. Pros - Price - $199, not the cheapest, but very cost justified by by the the many merits. - High CADR - 287, not the highest, but truthful rating. Others falsely market a higher level when the actual product spec is lower. - Tubular design - the round cylinder body with impeller fan draws air efficiently through the cylinder with no corners & edges causing friction or dead spots. Rectangular models & panel filters with wheel fans have hot spots on the filter by the fan openings. - Filter price/efficiency - $48, not the cheapest, but has more surface area and lasts longer for even coverage than rectangular filters which are up to $60 a pop. - Energy Star Certified - 47 watts is lower than other brands consuming ~70 watts. - Noise - 25-54 decibels, lower than others that are well over 60 dbs. - Auto sensor function, open a door or burn a steak and the the sensor identifies particulates and cranks up the fan speed and the panel glows from blue to green or yellow. - Aesthetics - The white satin plastic finish with slight hourglass shape has a modern sexy look. - Magnetic back cover for easy access and so no plastic hinges or clips to break over time. - Great accessible and friendly USA customer support center. - Beautiful controls - easy to use backlit touch screen controls with all the necessary functions. Cons - 15" clearance space all around limits the ability to place the back against the wall. However the workaround is place the left or right side where there's no vent holes against a wall or corner, so front and back vents are not blocked. - Register for 2nd year warranty, not the best, as others are up to 5 yr or lifetime warranty if you buy factory direct OEM filters. Other issues with other models. - I can't buy $60+ Medify 40 filters since they can't ship large filters to my area, who knows why. - I ordered Taotronics TT-AP002 twice and never received a shipment. Taotronics in Fremont, CA indicated they are out of supply and oversold their inventory. Hence shipping labels created but no product handed to UPS. - Winix models are just too loud and unattractive designs. One Winix model at my Doctor's office was deafening. I'm very happy and breathing freely with the Levoit LV-H133.

Holds lots of water supply. Put out large amount of mist. Worth the money. Would recommend this product.

Fits good, seems like it’ll work just fine.

The carbon pre filter is almost absurdly more porous than the originals which came with the filter. The main filter seems fine and looks like the one being replaced.

The main reason I purchased this is for my tropical plants. They need a warm humid environment to thrive. The unit is quiet, attractive, easy to clean, and didn't have any build up issues as I used only distilled water. However, my Monstera Adansonii that had been previously thriving suddenly started having problems. Wilting and drooping even though it was not over nor under watered. The plant was dying. I had to take cuttings and root them to save what I could. Fast Forward, the weather continued to get colder. Using heat caused the air in my home to be very dry. I tried to use this humidifier to raise the humidity, but the mist is so cold that it actually lowered the temperature in the room. I use thermometers and hygrometers to measure the temperature and humidity. The temperature was 60 degrees on my plant due to mist from the humidifier! It costs a lot of money to heat my home to at least 70 degrees; I can't afford to have a humidifier lowering the temperature. Cold, wet, soil is the kiss of death for tropical plants. To make matters worse, the humidity didn't even increase that much. It seems to be more effective at lowering the temperature than at raising the humidity. This might work in the summer when it's really hot, but I'd rather have a humidifier with both cool and warm mist options. If I had to choose only one, I'd choose warm. I'll probably be returning the unit.

What we like: This works well in our bedroom. We have noticed we aren't waking in the morning with nosebleeds and the room is overall less dry for our plants too. It's small and fits on our plant stand. Because it's small, I don't think it would as effective in a larger space. As we read with many reviews, it does need to be cleaned frequently because there is quickly a layer of buildup. We've been wiping the base and bucket with a water vinegar solution every few days. We have been using filtered water vs distilled water when running the humidifier, which may or may not add to some of the buildup. Also, there's a small filter that we've also been removing to clean that's already turned a yellowish color. We set the dial to medium and it will run for at least 8 hours when filled to the max line. So basically all night long and then some. Usually we turn it off when we leave the house. We haven't noticed any leaks and it seems sturdy enough plastic. We put a small towel under it as a precautionary measure but really don't seem to need it at this point. Cons: There's not an auto shutoff. Once it's empty it will remain on and have a red light indicating it's empty (See photo). This is why we turn it off when we leave our house. Not sure if that will play a role in longevity of the machine or not since we've only been using it for a month. So, as a precaution, we turn it off. It would be nice if it would shutoff instead of remaining on. Another con for us is that the water doesn't fully empty out of the base when the bucket is empty. So if you don't pour the bottom water out of the base, it will just sit there stagnant until you empty it fully (See photo). It was semi-reasonably priced because we got it on an levoitoutlet.com deal. However, we would not have paid more because really this could have better functions.

This air purifier is great! It’s perfectly sized for my smaller space but has the capability to cover beyond the square footage I’m using it in. The fan has three power levels— the first two are quite quiet (just like the sleep feature is very quiet), while the third creates a sound similar to a standard fan, a bit louder but not disruptive. I also love the convenience of controlling it from my phone, and the timer feature is another nice addition!

I would like to say it is very rare for me to write a review, but I HAD to share with anyone considering this unit. We have very hard water in our home. It's always been really tough on humidifiers. We have a small gadget in my daughter's room that measures the humidity and temperature. We have never had it register high enough humidity until we got this one. And yes, we have HVAC that should be giving the whole house enough humidity to be ideal but...well you know how that goes. My daughter is now 6, this is the 4th humidifier we have owned. We've had cute animals and another smaller unit that was less than half the price of this one. When it came time to replace the last one, I dug into research because the last thing you want is to buy a product over and over again. I was hesitant to purchase this unit since the price point is considerably higher than others. I have to say, WORTH EVERY PENNEY!!! I don't clean ours as often as I should, we won't bring my poor habits in here, let's just say the only reason I clean this out is when I visibly see "ick" and that is not often, let's face it, they are all a pain to clean and I do mean CLEAN, I'm picky when I do clean. But NOT this one!! When I purchased this unit, I also purchased the company's mineral absorption pads and humidifier drops as suggested. I really wanted this to last as long as possible. I just broke the unit down (I bought it over a year ago - Feb 2022) and could not believe I was able to clean every single nook and cranny of this machine!! It was way past the time I should have cleaned it but the point is, I was able to get to all of it without any trouble!! I'm adding in pictures here to show just how far you can break this baby down. I've never been able to do that with any other machine. I can get my hand in the reservoir, I can break all fancy components down, I love it!! One thing that also helps the longevity is using humidifier drops, 6 to a gallon of tap water every time to fill it and the small bottle goes a very long way. This really does make a difference and in all, worth every penny!

Fits perfectly, catches an insane amount of particles. I've always been skeptical about air purifiers but this one takes the cake, I own five cats not including cats that I foster throughout the year. Currently I have nine cats in my care and this filter does an amazing job collecting cat hair and debris.

I got this a few weeks ago for my bedroom. The air has been super dusty ever since a massive cleaning sent dust flying from every hard to reach book and cranny. While reading the setup guide. I saw that it couldn’t go within 15” of an obstruction on any side. I decided to place it near my laundry hamper and bedroom door. Within a day I noticed that my room smelled much better (I had apparently gone nose blind to the laundry smell) but the air quality wasn’t any better. In fact, dust seemed like it was floating around more than ever. In the next few weeks I noticed if I brought a cup of water to my room, within a few hours it would get little dust floaters coating the top of the cup. I saw a picture of someone else’s review that put the filter on top of a tall piece of furniture. Yesterday, I decided to try that-maybe it would help. Immediately, I noticed things were way worse. I could barely breathe, coughing and choking on all the dust flying through the air. So I sat and thought about it-why is this happening?? If the filter made the smell go away then why is it making the dust worse??? Then it clicked, the dust was getting sucked through the air to the filter, flying around everywhere, before the filter would even get a chance to clean it out. I investigated, where was the dust doming from, and it occurred to me, the supply air duct. Sure enough, once I took the vent off I could see a pile of dust or dirt and grime at the bottom of the vent. I cleaned the vent out as best I could, and moved the filter next to the vent. This morning I woke up with no dust floaters in my water cup and the air feels easier to breathe. My next step if I still have problems will be to get the air ducts in the house professionally cleaned.
