  • I gave it five stars because after adjusting to it, and not worrying about the little things and the false advertising of the "up to 40 hours", I find this mister a great quiet device that will impact a 400 SF room and increase the humidity level. Let's start with the cons: 1. In the manual that came with the mister, and on the levoitoutlet.com site it states, "up to 40 hours". Well, it might as well say up to 100 years, because both will be true, but none real. I filled the water tank and placed it to work on the Low mist setting ONLY. The tank was empty after exactly 27 hours. Yes, it worked great, very quiet, and efficient for 27 nonstop hours! So, 40? Not in this world, no matter what you do to it. Of course, it will work even less on the Medium and the High settings, but I went with the Low only. 2. You can see in one of the images I added here that due to condensation at the top of the unit (mist nozle), there's water that needs to be removed before you remove the top in order to lift the water tank, else you'll have water all over your night-stand, bed, table, or wherever you placed the unit. This is not a flaw, but something I bring to your attention. Have a small towel of paper-towel next to the unit. 3. The Essential Oil tray, after pressed in, pops out a fraction of an inch and there's no way to simply slide it out. I had to force the little tray after another reviewer commented that he experienced the same issue. After pinching the tray, it pops out completely (see the two images I attached) and you can place a few drops of essential oil. The good: 1. A gallon of water in the tank makes it running for a long time (up to 27 hours). 2. The unit is very quiet and doesn't take a lot of room on the night-stand. 3. The mist setting levels (Low, Medium, High) have one toggle touch button and you can't turn the unit OFF unless you went through all three levels even if you only use the Low mist level. The manual indicates that if you touch the On/Off button for three seconds it turns OFF the LIGHT in the button, but not the unit. This is actually a good thing because the blue light from the button can be turned off, especially if you intend to let the unit work through the night. 4. The unit has an Auto Shutoff sensor that will turn the unit OFF if there's no water in the tank. 5. The manual is simple to follow, even if it is falsely said that the unit can work "up to 40 hours". There's an explanation on how to clean the tank, the unit, etc. 6. Just like you should expect, the mister will perform best with Distilled water - it says so in the manual, and I know so from the different types I used in the past. Do not use tap water. Do I recommend it? Yes. It does what it supposed to do.

  • Best air purifier! I also have dyson air purifier and the Levoit wins! I ran both purifier in the same room (opposite end of the room) and same timeframe as a test and to see which performs better. Check out the results for yourself. The tall filter is the Dyson vs the short filter is Levoit.

  • This is a review after having for 2 weeks. Background about me: I looked around at many different options for home humidification. Where I live in the North East, summers are usually hot and humid and fall and winter tends to be very dry. We had a particularly dry spell at the end of October, which lead to sinus issues and I needed some relief. I thought of getting a professionally installed humidifier for my central air system, but decided against that as running a water line to the attic which would be prone to freezing was not acceptable. I also looked at portable steam humidifiers but the choices were limited and not great. So, an evaporative humidifier it is. I have a large space; room-sized humidifiers don't do anything because of forced air heat (I have a venta airwasher which I am going to retire), so I needed something with a lot more oomph. I've tried ultrasonic misters in the past, and they are novel, but generally don't do a good job. The Levoit 6000s fits what I wanted. A humidifier that can work for my whole house (~2000ft²) and doesn't need constant filling and attending. In this super low humidity time of the year, 6 gallons lasts maybe 36 hours. The machine actually evaporates that much water, it is pleasantly surprising. RH increases rapidly up until about 45%, then it is slower as it diffuses. Seems to cease increasing the humidity once RH is about 60% and the temp is around 70F. Which is fine, 50% RH makes your nose happy and doesn't make everything feel damp. A steam humidifier might over humidify an area. The unit stops operating with about 1/2gal left in the tank. The water at this point turns yellowish, due to calcium being left behind. I also notice when the water level starts getting very low, and the humidity is somewhat high, you'll hear a slight tricking sound as the water from the pump isn't evaporating on the pads and is dripping back into the tank. Its not obnoxious though. Automatically shuts off when the water level is too low to continue. Has 3 fan speeds. I leave it on 2 as it just disappears into background noise. Speed 3 is a bit loud, I measured around 41db from 1m away. Speed 2 is below 30db, my meter won't read it. You can also turn off the lights, so if you are a light sleeper this won't bug you. Power usage on fan speed 1 is 3 watts, speed 2 is 8 watts, speed 3 is 21 watts. The bottom line is, this works great for your whole house, even with forced air HVAC, it has a lot of nice creature features you'll appreciate, and doesn't seem to need a lot of attention. It brings the humidity to around 50% quickly, but don't expect it to bring the humidity much above that on speed 2. Generally, that's the sweet spot for happy nose and skin anyway. The design is resistant to leaks and spills. If you can lift it in and out of your sink or bathtub go for it, otherwise it comes with a silly hose thing to fill it. Update: a few months later. This thing still rocks. I added a screenshot of an independent analysis of how fast this can throw the humidity out there. I replaced the pads with blue ones, and it's working just fine. Keep up with the mold and mildew growth, otherwise it starts to smell and can give you allergies. Run the unit dry and let it sit empty and dry for a few days every now and then. I bleach the pads and just dump a little bit of bleach in the unit every so often (like a couple tablespoons). It makes everything smell (like bleach) for a while, but it does the trick with sanitizing everything in the machine. Suggest doing the bleach treatment in a garage or other space where you won't be breathing it.

  • Auto mode works seamlessly. I sleep in a fairly dark room, the brightness on this was not over powering. I bought this for my family where my fur baby lives and the air quality when using and when not using is significant. It use pet filters and have seen a great improvement in my breathing and sleeping. The noise level is perfect and is used as a white noise.

  • The product looks like the real version of the filters; however, it's missing half the pack. I only received 5 filters instead of 10. I'm disappointed because I ordered it from Levoit to ensure the product would be correct.

  • Like many other reviewers my unit failed after 2 years; it works pretty great when it's working so I wanted to keep it around (and I didn't want to add stuff to the landfill). When yours breaks be sure to watch the youtube video "Levoit Air Purifier Power Supply Repair" by xfireamg to learn how to fix it. You'll need a triangle screwdriver, a phillips screwdriver, and 2 replacement capacitors; like other reviewers I replaced my 25V capacitors with 50V ones (see the After photos to see how nicely snug they fit). You can find the capacitors on Digikey for about a dollar each - my last photo has the capacitor info on it (Description: CAP ALUM 470UF 20% 50V RADIAL, manufacturer product number: EKYB500ELL471MJ30S). In my before photo you can just barely see the capacitors are a little puffy. Even though it was only my second time ever soldering I was able to easily remove the old capacitors. I had my partner solder the new ones on for me and it only took him a couple minutes. Overall, I'm very pleased with my air purifier, even though it failed after a couple years. Since it's wifi capable my partner has integrated it into home assistant for me so I can easily adjust settings from my phone. I definitely noticed the house was a lot dustier during the months it was broken before I bought replacement capacitors.

  • Fit my humidifier perfectly will buy again and came with a good amount

  • 5 out of 5
It keeps the room the right humidity automatically, the large tank makes it seldom need refilling. Overall great unit! I trust my harp to the humidifier keeping my room the right humidity, and it has my confidence.

  • Update (5/27): LEVOIT's customer service has been pretty impressive. They've provided a replacement unit which works as expected. Updating to 4 stars as the customer service is pretty top-notch, and the replacement units reset button is properly placed (although I still dislike the placement under the vent). The filtration is better than on my original unit, but could still be a bit better on lower settings or quieter on higher settings. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall, I have not been impressed with this air purifier. We received our purifier around December 22nd, 2017. Overall, it seemed to clear up the air a bit. But not as significantly as I had hoped. 2 months after buying the purifier, on February ~25th, 2018, the Change Filter light came on. This is when things really went south. The filter is supposed to last roughly 6 months. We keep it in our bedroom, so I was surprised it only lasted 2 months. When I took the filter out, it looked surprisingly clean (picture attached). To be safe, I gently vacuumed the filter from the stage 2 side. Virtually nothing came out. I returned the filter, then went to use the "reset" button required after cleaning/replacing the filters. And here's the "fatal flaw": on our unit, the reset button was not aligned properly. Instead of being between the gaps in the side vent, it was placed directly under a plastic "bar" in the cover (picture attached). After ~5 minutes of attempting to reset the purifier, I was unable to press the button properly, due to this manufacturing defect. Defect aside. I have a hard time understanding not only why this purifier needs to be "Reset", but more importantly why the button is hidden the way it is. If the unit absolutely needs a reset mechanism, either the button should be in an easy-to access location, or (more preferably)using a combination of the on-screen buttons. What we liked: -Setup is quite easy -Timer functionality works well -Auto Mode seems quite reliable -Night Mode is great if you want a steady, quite breeze What we disliked: -Filtration seems pretty week unless it was left on Max-speed for a few hours -The reset button is just a terrible concept -Level 2 & 3 (Max) filtration produce an insane amount of noise (like one of those old "shop-style" fans) -Design wise, the unit feels cheap, like it would fall apart if anyone bumped it over (I also found it doesn't handle slighlty uneven surfaces well)

  • Love love love love love this fan. I bought two of them for my bedroom because my other fan that I’ve had for years was so loud I could hardly sleep at night and now I sleep so good and it’s so quiet and cool. I highly recommend this fan in fact to buy two for your bedroom one on each side of the bed. And the remote control is awesome. You probably don’t need two fans, but that’s just how I rollThat’s how I like it anyway.

  • Had it for a year, so I’m going into our second summer with this little dude. Get lots of compliments on it and for a fan it’s pretty darn cute with power to boot. Loving: round remote control, adjustable size (tall or short), fan power and quietness combo, vintage sleek design, matches my motif

  • I absolutely LOVE my Levoit Smart Air Purifier! It’s sleek, quiet, and incredibly efficient. Within just a day or two, I noticed a major difference in the air quality—less dust, no lingering odors, and it even helped with my allergies. The app makes it super easy to control from my phone, and I love checking the air quality readings in real time. It runs quietly even on higher settings, and the auto mode is so smart—it adjusts based on what's actually in the air. Total peace of mind, especially with pets and a toddler in the house. It’s one of those rare purchases that instantly makes you feel like you’re taking better care of your home and family. If you’re on the fence—just get it. You’ll wonder how you ever lived without it. 💨💙

  • Let me start by saying I do love this vacuum and it’s made my life so much easier! I was a little hesitant because there are mixed reviews but I always try to form my own opinion on something so I went for it. As you can see in the video it picks up my dogs food (dog chow brand) with no problem as well as very fine dust. It turns corners like there’s no tomorrow with little effort. It looks sleek and expensive. The battery lasts for me to vacuum my whole house (about 1200 sq ft). I make sure to turn it off when I’m not actively using it (picking up/moving toys, etc.) I plug it in as soon as I’m done with it. This was a big one for me..it stops charging when it’s fully charged even if it’s still plugged in. I love this as it won’t burn up the battery as fast. It is light (imo) but a little top heavy. It does stand in its own but you need to stabilize it before walking away or else it’ll fall forward. I don’t have to empty it until I’m all done so it can fill up quite a bit and I have a 100lb dog and a cat (and toddler) so our floors can get quite messy. The light works great and makes it easier to see dust on the floor. It works well on my short carpet. I have a fluffier carpet that it CAN work on but it does turn off sometimes when the carpet lifts up a little and sucks in. BUT! (There’s always a but lol) the main thing that could be better is...the wheels! They’re fully plastic so it makes it feel cheap when rolling on the floor as well as makes it louder than it needs to be. If there was a rubber strip on the wheels it’d make a HUGE difference. I ALMOST took away a star for that but it’s tolerable and I’m going to have my husband attach rubber on them so nbd. I def recommend but keep in mind this stick vacuum isn’t going to have the power as a regular plug in vacuum. If you want that, stick with your reg vacuum. It seems crazy the reviews I’ve read where people compare the two because they’re NOT the same. My mom has a $700 Dyson stick vacuum and this works just as well but much cheaper and she’s constantly having to buy new batteries because hers keeps charging when plugged in and burns them up. I use this stick vacuum to do a quick sweep up throughout the house every evening and once a week use my plug in vacuum to get a really good deep sweep. Here’s the TLDR summarized review: It does a great job, looks nice, isn’t loud, stands up in its own, stops charging when full so battery doesn’t burn up, can hang on the wall, stands up on its own, and works great on short carpet, and has attachments. I highly recommend and think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by as long as you keep in mind it’s not a plug in vacuum and it won’t have the same power so don’t compare. Always read reviews but at the end of the day always try to form your own opinion and if it doesn’t work/breaks, return it. I always keep my boxes for the 30 days just in case. Save some money and buy this bad boy!

  • I bought three of these under the Used - Like New program. They all arrived with all parts, looking as if they may have been opened, but not even taken out of their boxes. I've had two running nearly non-stop for three weeks, creating the tropical environment I need for several of my plants. In Tucson, humidifiers are a must for tropical plants, and getting above 50% can be a struggle. With two of these covering a 6' x 6' space, I've got a corner that averages 65% - 70% humidity. The way I've grouped my plants and situated the humidifiers, the neighboring succulents, and low-humidity tolerant plants are at the usual 40%. I go through a gallon of RO water every two days with this setup. I like the large capacity as I'm not constantly running to refill these humidifiers. When our humidity is a bit higher on a rainy day, for instance, I can run them on low and they'll last at least three days if not longer on one gallon - that doesn't even fill the reservoir. A full reservoir will last three days on a medium-high setting. The reservoir is easy to clean and so very simple that I wonder what all the fuss is about over different styles of humidifiers! I mean, I lift the top by the directional nozel (which may not be as directional as you'd like, and I'd kind of like one that didn't condense the mist quite so much but hey, it's working!), and add water directly from the top, replace the lid, and turn the thing back on. Easy as can be! A smaller unit would blend more seamlessly into my display, but I know I don't have the time to be refilling on a daily basis. These are dark, and do blend fairly well tucked in with my plants. I also have small fans blowing to keep mold and mildew at bay (wish me luck!) Unless these suffer catastrophic failure, I can see no problem with their continued use. I do use small temp and humidity sensors scattered through my collection to keep tabs on actual levels. These units are basic and have a dial from low to high - you can't set a humidity level and expect it to be maintained, as I've seen some models offer. But then I read all the reviews on those and people seem dissatisfied with the accuracy of those units. While I'd never pay full price for these, they are simple and, so far, reliable at adding the desired amount of humidity to my air. If that's all you want; ease of use, easy cleaning, and moist air, I wouldn't hesitate to grab one on sale or from the levoitoutlet.com Warehouse.

  • I'm writing this two weeks after purchasing my first of two of these new humidifiers from Levoit (I was so pleased with the first unit that I quickly ordered another during the Prime Day promotion). So far, so good. EDIT: Please note that this review ONLY pertains to the new, 10L model (the tall, skinny model). Some of the other reviews on here make mention of features (or lack thereof) for a different size model, since they are all grouped together on this one product page. I have been super impressed as they have a significant tank capacity while maintaining a relatively small footprint on your floor wherever you position them — about the same as much shorter humidifier units that they have replaced in my apartment. After having a wish list for years in what I was looking for, in the perfect apartment humidifier, this checks nearly every box. As mentioned, the 10 liter water tank capacity is massive, so there is far less frequent of a need for refilling. There's also a clever 360 degree rotating spout on the top, where the mist is projected out and into your room. This is great if you want to position the unit in the most aesthetically pleasing way within your space, but actually need the mist angled towards another, particular direction. The app connectivity is what I would say completely puts these into another tier versus other humidifiers I have owned over the years (of which there are many). In the app you can set up all sorts of automated routines as well as my most-preferred Auto setting. With this, the machine will intelligently turn the mist on and off, in addition to being able to throttle the amount of mist being projected, in order to maintain a target humidity percentage within your space. This can be set as high as 80% relative humidity, which is a lot higher than other auto settings I have seen on other humidifiers. If an auto setting would only allow for 60%, for instance, that wouldn't be high enough for my needs. This is actually why I feel like the unit is best suited for people maintaining a lot of plants (or simply requiring consistently HIGH humidity). Since you can set the auto setting as high as 80%, you can easily and effectively create an ideal environment if you're a big tropical plant enthusiast, as I happen to be. Furthermore, because of being able to use the app to control and monitor your humidity levels, it makes for an excellent solution for people who travel and need to maintain proper levels for their plants. I can't even begin to explain my past stress over what will happen to my plants if I had a week-long trip for work or leisure, when I knew that the humidity levels in my apartment would drop like a stone within a matter of two to maybe three days. With these units you can monitor and hold a decent level of humidity far longer than with anything else I have ever seen or tried. This peace of mind is really valuable to me. There is also Alexa support for voice commands, which is a nice plus. Again, this just checks off so many boxes that I wasn't sure I was ever going to find in one singular humidifier. The process to clean the unit seems easy enough, which thankfully I won't have to do quite as often as suggested. I only use water that has been purified from ZeroWater filters/pitchers (that remove all TDS/total dissolved solids from your tap water). Highly recommend going this route too — you will need to clean your unit a lot more often if you are using tap water! My only complaint is that I wish that the AC power cord was removable from the unit, so that you could more easily take the water tank and clean it without needing to worry about the cord as an electrical component. Plus, then you could take the unit and clean it more easily in, say, your bathtub. This is the only thing that I can possibly think of that the humidifier doesn't satisfy. So, it still deserves a five star rating for my needs.
